Blue Canyon Country Club at the northern end of Phuket, is recognized as being the most exclusive
golfing establishment in the region. It is surrounded by freshwater lakes
and has facilities to match any of the world's leading golf resorts.
Host to the Johnnie Walker Classic in 1998, this championship course
features many natural hazards, multiple tees, narrow landing areas, rolling
fairways and well guarded greens. Signature hole number 13 the 'Canyon' and
the 'Island' par three 14th are memorable. At the 13th a huge drive is
needed to clear the 'Canyon' and at 14, a par three, players hit from an
elevated tee and must hit a perfect tee shot in order to land on the island
green. The huge and opulent clubhouse affords magnificent view of the golf
course and has every facility.
Canyon Course
The original 18 holes, 72 par course was designed by Yoshikazo Kato in 1991.
This championship course has featured in many major golf tournament
including the Johnnie Walker Classic.
The Canyon Course was designed with minimal disruption to the natural
landscape. This feature, along with the use of existing canyons and rubber
plantations helped create the masterpiece that the Canyon Course is renowned
today.
The Canyon Course has an intriguing mix of narrow tree-lined fairways
requiring accurate tee shots. A number of dog legs demand precise shot
making, and there is a selection of testing Par 3's. These features, along
with numerous water hazards, long carries the and beautifully manicured
fairways, all lend themselves to one of Asia's most sought after golfing
destinations.

open cast mining with its natural land flow left relatively unchanged.
The Lakes Course has been designed to cater for a broader range of
golfers with Silver Tees being added between Red and White Tees. With Blue
and Black Tees, a total of five sets of Tees offer a complete golfing
experience, for all golfers' standards. from the Championship Tees, target
driving areas are set at 270 yards to accommodate today's long hitters,
enabling the Lakes Course to be the venue for world class tournaments; with
the confidence that the challenge will meet the very best golfers from
